With an extensive catalog of Prince reviews on his YouTube channel, Prince’s Friend (PF) takes some deep dives into Prince’s career. Of the most coveted playlists on the channel are Prince’s Friend’s examinations of the artist’s albums, singles, and movies. For album reviews, PF is in the midst of exploring the artist’s extensive catalog of albums one at a time starting from Prince’s first release, For You. Each album review gives perspective of the album’s place in Prince’s career, an overview of the work and artists involved, and a song by song review of the tracks on the albums. Each song commentary includes a brief summary of what the songs are about, comments about various aspects of the songs, and notes of PF’s favorite tracks. The channel’s album reviews are each summed up with a conclusion and a one to five star rating. The single reviews explore each of the songs in a similar fashion and the movie reviews include a close look at Prince’s journey in film as an actor, director, writer, and producer.
