American vocalist and songwriter Susannah Melvoin pictured with YouTube's Prince's Friend in Minneapolis. Susannah got her start working with Prince in the mid-1980s when her twin sister Wendy was a guitarist and collaborator in Prince's band The Revolution. During this period, Melvoin was tapped to be a joint lead vocalist of one of Prince's side projects, The Family. In later years, she was a background vocalist for artists including Roger Waters and Eric Clapton, and co-wrote songs performed by artists including Madonna, Eric Clapton, and Doyle Bramhall II.
